Player Eligibility & Special Situations

PASSES REQUIRED: ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES MUST HAVE LAMINATED, PICTURED PASSES.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY CHALLENGES

A coach may challenge player eligibility only during the pre-game check-in.

• • The referee must document the challenge on the Game Report.
  • The player may participate unless another restriction on the Game Report makes the player ineligible.
  • USA will review the eligibility challenge after the match.
  • Teams understand that consequences may apply following USA’s review.

RED-LINED PLAYERS — MAY NOT PARTICIPATE

A PLAYER WHO IS RED-LINED ON THE GOTSPORT GAME REPORT MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE MATCH.

• • The referee may NOT override the red-lined status.
  • A coach’s explanation does NOT authorize participation.
  • The player must remain out of the match.
  • Questions regarding status should be directed to the referee assignor.

RED-LINED = NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY

Do not allow a red-lined player to participate while waiting for clarification.

DO NOT GUESS. If there are questions or unusual circumstances during check-in or before the match, contact the referee assignor for guidance before proceeding.
